Plugged-In Parent is inspired by the belief that shared media and entertainment experiences are a powerful way for families to connect, develop memories, and have fun.

Plugged-In Parent is published by the Wise Action Company and produced by Dan Solomon, publisher, and Meredith Levine, editorial director.

Meredith Levine, as a fanthropologist, helps brands and media companies understand and create better strategies for building and sustaining fans and fandoms. She is a professor at USC and has worked with companies like Disney, Viacom, Theorist Media, LEGO, Supercell, as well as countless independent creators. She founded her consultancy, Random Machine, in 2018, and prior to that she has worked for creators, media companies, tech companies and more at the nexus between audience development and internet culture. Meredith has her M.A. in media studies from UCLA. 

Dan Solomon is an Emmy Award winning executive producer and father of two teenagers. He founded Wise Action, publisher of Plugged-In Parent, to inspire, prepare and support parents of adolescents and young adults. The first video game he played was "Pong" on a computer his father built in the 1970s and his favorite "video game" is still storytelling game Myst.
